Environment Canada

Shoreline Pile Driving has been working with Environment Canada on The Okanagan Water Supply & Demand Project.  The project includes the installation of 5 large yellow scientific buoys, 10ft by 6ft wide. The buoys were installed on Okanagan Lake to monitor lake evaporation for the next three years. During July 2011 three initial buoys were installed, and in 2012 Shoreline installed two additional buoys.
Buoy Locations:
  • Pixie Beach, North of Okanagan Safe Habour
  • Westbank Yacht Club, Central Location
  • Crescent Beach, North of Summerland
  • Ellison Point in Vernon
  • Squally Point off of Antler Beach, South of Peachland
Shoreline Pile Driving assisted in installation of the buoys, providing equipment, and support for repairs, including technical assistance.
